This fixture conjures up memories of Bayern recording three successive 5-1 victories over Arsenal in the mid-2010s, but times have changed since then and the Gunners head into this clash as favourites.
Not only are Mikel Arteta’s side favourites to win the match, but they are joint 9/2 favourites to lift the Champions League in May. The Londoners have a perfect record so far in Europe, winning all four games without conceding a single goal although there is no doubt that Bayern represent their toughest test yet.
The Gunners head into the match on the back of a 4-1 victory over Spurs and there is more reason for Arteta to be buoyant with the Spaniard welcoming Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Odegaard back into the fold ahead of Bayern’s visit.

The former Tottenham man has scored 24 goals in a Bayern shirt so far this season, with five of them coming in Europe, and he will be itching to get back amongst the goals on Wednesday against Arsenal.
Summer signing Luis Diaz misses out, but there will be a return to the Emirates for Serge Gnabry who missed the weekend’s 6-2 win over Freiburg. Also keep an eye out for Lennart Karl, with the 17-year-old now the youngest ever Champions League scorer for Bayern.
